NAE™ Project:
Feature -
Early Concept Using the F-104
by Tom Trefethen

ttdraw1

As noted in a prior update, the NAE's appearance in the Air & Space Magazine generated a response from Tina Trefethen about her brother's 1969 concept drawings using an F-104 fuselage as a land speed vehicle while Tom was still in high school. After dialog was exchanged via email, Tina graciously sent the NAE Team the packet of material about Tom Trefethen's early concept so that we could share it with you here.
