Attention classroom teachers of the Puget Sound Region! Are you looking for a science oriented, high-interest, goal focused classroom or school assembly presentation that can be tailored to your class or school's needs? If so, then you want to contact the team's teacher, Jon Higley, to schedule your visit by some of the team members now, before we're completely booked for the year. Here's a list of general topics we touch on in our presentation:

Basic physics as they apply to using the car to set the record
Innovative technology that's being applied to make the car run as safely as possible
Volunteerism (Our team is 100% volunteer participation, thus far.)
Importance of goal setting, perseverance, and having a dream/vision
The critical role math, science & technology plays in their future.

A major focus of this project is to inspire and encourage our youth to become innovators, critical thinkers and develop the attitude that we can take on the challenges we face in our modern world. To that end, we have established an educational outreach program to communicate those attributes through our project's high interest. Our program's mission statement & goals, as well as fees, can be found here. We are interested in expanding our outreach to the community, as well as promoting science & aviation education.

We show several videos and can have an actual J-79 engine cutaway for students to see and learn how a turbo-jet engine works, provided we are given enough advanced scheduling.
