Ed advised the team that he had received a letter from the Bureau of Land Management essentially approving our use of the Alvord lakebed in Oregon for fall test runs. Barring any unforeseen last minute legal actions, the Eagle will roll in October.

Keith and Russ get their heads together
Work remains while getting things in order before loading up for the trip. The mid wheel compartment doors needed some modification to allow better wheel clearance. Keith broke out the cutting wheels and welding unit and took that on. Special thanks to Central Welding Supply. At one point he and dad Russ put their heads together to survey the progress.

Ed fashioned and attached a holding strap to the air start plug to prevent it being dropped into the innards of the fuselage. Stored batteries are being tested and charged as needed. John, Chris and Jeremiah set up tables and continued packing and repacking the parachutes that will help bring our 56 foot long 6 ton jet car safely to a stop at the end of each test run.
