Ron Doll and Mike Thoe both appear in the 5 minute video talking about how they use tools like the Boeing Aerodynamic Wind Tunnel to build safety into all Boeing Jetliners. Below is a graphic showing some of the analysis using Computational Fluid Dynamics that Darren Grove, Ron Doll, Rex Walter and Mike Thoe are working on.

CEI EnSight Visualization of Metacomp CFD++ Flow Solver

To obtain this data our aerodynamics team is using the world leading software programs to create, analyze and understand the aerodynamics of the North American Eagle™.  Starting with Geomagic Studio Software which converts the 4 million plus point cloud into surfaces, the file is sent to Pointwise CFD Meshing Software. It  then can be run through our CFD Flow Solver, Metacomp CFD++.  Finally it is exported to CEI EnSight Visualization Software as shown in the graphic above.
